eExtra Vs. Glow TV: The Best Source For Bollywood Series

eExtra is general entertainment channel from eMedia Investments home to primarily telenovelas particularly Indian and Turkish. Glow TV is a South African entertainment based channel from Nismedia that has content which resonate with the Indian community.

Both these channels have Openview and StarSat in common aside from that the owners of these brands have been beefing with each other following eMedia's failed attempt and today we compare the channels that started it all.

eExtra is currently one of the top channels on Openview for their selection in Turkish dramas which brought a spinoff ePlesier. Outside of that bubble, the channel offers a ton of Bollywood dramas which don't clash with the existing offering on Glow TV.

     data-ad-client="ca-pub-2656328684472327"
     data-ad-slot="7259572561"
     data-auto-format="mcrspv"
     data-full-width="">

Glow TV is SA's only Indian channel that promotes the Hindi community with not only telenovelas like eExtra but other entertainment like reality, lifestyle and local programming. It is actually one of the first channels to distribute dubbed Hindi content full-time.

     type="adsense"
     data-ad-client="ca-pub-2656328684472327"
     data-ad-slot="7259572561"
     data-auto-format="mcrspv"
     data-full-width="">

The setback for eExtra has to do with distribution as some fans already noticed the channel doesn't play fair in terms of catch-up. Some shows repeat once off while others need eVOD in order for you to catch-up on what you've missed.

Glow TV's issue revolves on a similar matter repeats compared to eExtra you don't get a lot of new content and what's even more depressing is how often they place a former program in the schedule.

In regard to best channel, eExtra is your #1 source for drama series and although Glow TV has been repetitive in this region. There is plenty of entertainment you won't find on eExtra such as reality, lifestyle and local content.

10 WWE Superstars That Hated Each Other In Real Life

When you are WWE Superstar you don't expect to get along with everyone in the locker room. Sometimes the locker room is filled with different personalities and these personalities will clash. Sometimes these feuds are kept private and sometimes made public.

Here is a countdown to the 10 WWE feuds:

10. Matt Riddle and Seth Rollins

In 2019, Riddle's wife posted a negative video about Becky Lynch. This didn't sit well with Rollins so he vowed to never work with him.

During an interview, Riddle made the following statement:

I'll be honest, I've met Seth multiple times and he's met me and I don't think we'll ever be best friends, I don't think we'll like one another, we're just two different people. Although we love wrestling, I love my significant other said something about Becky that they didn't like and I did not like or agree with it. Seth didn't like me after that and I don't think Becky liked me or my wife either, which is understandable it is what it is.

The two ended up working together in 2020 so its unclear about the status between the two.

9. Becky Lynch and Nia Jax

Although it hasn't been confirmed, it's rumoured that these two never got along after Nia Jax broke Becky's nose in 2018 on Raw. Following that incident, the two have hardly been seen working together and what's strange is WWE never booked a march considering how publicized her injury was.

     type="adsense"
     data-ad-client="ca-pub-2656328684472327"
     data-ad-slot="7259572561"
     data-auto-format="mcrspv"
     data-full-width="">

Following Nia's release from WWE, she took to social media to address things from politics to covid. She even compared mask wearing to the horrors of the Ukraine war - controversial. Becky unfollowed her building up to that feud.

8. Paul Heyman and AJ Styles

The two had a great relationship when Paul Heyman managed Raw between 2019 and 2020. Paul Heyman considered him one of the best wrestlers to be put in WWE. However this relationship turned sour when Luke and Carls Andersen were released from WWE.

Paul Heyman doesn't make the decisions but AJ Styles exaggerated a bit about the whole situation. The two ended up working in different brands never to be put on anything together.

7. Ronda Rousey and Alexa Bliss

When Ronda Rousey joined WWE in 2018, one of the wrestlers she worked with the most was Alexa Bliss. The two never worked well together as Alexa Bliss made it clear after several months that Ronda Rousey was over stooping her in the ring and was almost out of action for a year due to her recklessness.

     type="adsense"
     data-ad-client="ca-pub-2656328684472327"
     data-ad-slot="7259572561"
     data-auto-format="mcrspv"
     data-full-width="">

Nia even give hints to the rumours and Bliss supported it then when Ronda returned and won The Royal Rumble. Alexa made a sarcastic meme written what a surprise.

6. Matt Riddle and Goldberg

Riddle never moves away from voicing his own opinion. Throughout his career, he's never shown any interest to Goldberg. Mocking his wrestling style declares Goldberg a danger to wrestling.

In an interview Goldberg had this to say about the wrestler:

Yeah, the cocky kid, Riddle spouting off his mouth in the beginning and I didn't appreciate it very much by any stretch of the imagination. But the guy has put in a lot of frickin hard work and a lot of frickin hard work and he's dedicated his life to the business.

Whether I like him as a human being or not, I have to understand and appreciate his passion for the business and work ethic.

Because he works hard and that's what I appreciate as an athlete and as a human

Is he a prick sometimes? Absolutely, But that's him, That's his character and so am I.

5. Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair

Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair used to be the best of friends but in 2021 fans found out that wasn't the case. The two used to be inseparable and as both their careers progressed things have changed.

They used to travel to many places together on a tour bus but that's not the case and they hardly speak to each other. No reason was given to the confrontation but it's believed to be Becky's rise in popularity with both women finding men in their lives mean less time spent together.

     type="adsense"
     data-ad-client="ca-pub-2656328684472327"
     data-ad-slot="7259572561"
     data-auto-format="mcrspv"
     data-full-width="">

4. Charlotte Flair and Sonya Deville

This issue was highlighted following the infamous exchange in championship belts in 2021 when Charlotte Flair was suppose switch belts with Becky Lynch but went off script to make her look bad. Not only did it affect Becky but destroyed the authority figure in Sonya Deville.

Sonya was so angry that she wanted to fight Charlotte of course no details were given if she wanted to do anything physical.

3. Matt Riddle and Brock Lesnar

Riddle believes that he should be the one to end Brock Lesnar's career and although he didn't say anything derogatory to him. Lesnar loathe Riddle that he made it clear in the 2021 Royal Rumble that he would never work with him in any capacity.

The two wind up clashing when Riddle continues with his comments but never in single man matches.

2. Booker T. and Corey Graves

In 2018, Booker T. made it clear in a podcast that Graves was the reason he wasn't commentator for Raw and people believed he was going to attack him.

He made somewhat of a bizarre statement:

     type="adsense"
     data-ad-client="ca-pub-2656328684472327"
     data-ad-slot="7259572561"
     data-auto-format="mcrspv"
     data-full-width="">

Corey Graves, right now, I wouldn't necessarily say he's on my bad side but he's the reason I'm not on Monday Night Raw right now.

Because you know what a lot of people in the company thought I was going to jump him, I was going to do something bad to him, I was gonna drag him, I was gonna take him out of the woodshed, I was gonna beat that men so bad, I was gonna beat him until this man say "Please, please, please just don't beat me anymore".

There have been reports that WWE had tried to resolve their issues but no details have been given in regard to their relationship.

1. Matt Riddle and Roman Reigns

In 2021, Matt claimed he could beat him in a fight and had this to say:

No disrespect to Roman, he seems like a swell fella but at the same time, it's like when people say they're a great parent.

You know what? if you were a great parent

When he's saying 'acknowledge me' or 'move the needle', no you don't

You're related to Rock, Shut up

Like I'm not impressed I can beat you up in a real fight

So shut your mouth.

A few months later, it was revealed that he had to write an apology letter which he outright rejected.

The 2002 ‘Scooby-Doo’ Movie Originally Had a Velma and Daphne Kiss and Wrote Velma as ‘Explicitly Gay’

Scooby-Doo has survived so many iterations and many story arcs. But the franchise has lived on this long because that dog is so loved by audiences. Add in the other well-known characters Shaggy, Daphne, Fred, and Velma, and Mystery Incorporated is as iconic as cartoons can get.

The 2002 Scooby-Doo live-action film was a change of pace for the franchise since it was the first live-action version of these characters, but it also aimed at teens rather than kids. Because it originally started off as a PG-13 film, there were a lot of jokes and scenes filmed for the movie that ended up having to be cut when the studio wanted to make it more family-friendly. One of those scenes involved a kiss between Daphne and Velma.

     type="adsense"
     data-ad-client="ca-pub-2656328684472327"
     data-ad-slot="7259572561"
     data-auto-format="mcrspv"
     data-full-width="">

An on-screen kiss between Daphne and Velma was cut from ‘Scooby-Doo’

James Gunn, the writer of the live-action 2002 film, has shared a lot of behind-the-scenes info on the movie on Twitter and elsewhere. This is how fans know about the rating change. He even wrote in January that the MPAA gave the movie an R-rating at firstOpens a new window , because of a “misinterpreted” joke.

But even back in 2002, Sarah Michelle Gellar (Daphne), one of the stars of the film, revealed a change. She told Sci-Fi WireOpens a new window that a kissing scene between her and Linda Cardellini (Velma) was cut.

     type="adsense"
     data-ad-client="ca-pub-2656328684472327"
     data-ad-slot="7259572561"
     data-auto-format="mcrspv"
     data-full-width="">

“It wasn’t just, like, for fun,” she said. “Initially in the soul-swapping , Velma and Daphne couldn’t seem to get their souls back together in the woods. And so the way they found was to kiss and the souls went back into proper alignment.”

There is a deleted scene from the DVDOpens a new window , where Velma’s body was just taken over by one of the aliens, and Daphne finds her in weird behavior. Velma then turns on her in the locker room. While there’s nothing inappropriate about two women kissing, the studio didn’t want to include it back in 2002.

     type="adsense"
     data-ad-client="ca-pub-2656328684472327"
     data-ad-slot="7259572561"
     data-auto-format="mcrspv"
     data-full-width="">

And while this kissing scene was cut, don’t expect to see it, or any other deleted scene that wasn’t already on the DVD.

“Also, for the record I doubt any of those old cuts still exist,” Gunn wrote Opens a new window in January.

Other edits were made to the film to make it more ‘family-friendly’

Another edit that was made on the film involved digitally adding more clothing to Daphne and Velma because apparently too much cleavage was showing.

“They CG’d clothes over @lindacardellini & @SarahMGellar’s cleavage,” Gunn wrote. “But that wasn’t the MPAA, that was the studio, who wanted it more family-friendly. Some parents in test audiences had complained (& this doesn’t contradict my last tweet – I didn’t direct this film)”

Basically, as Gunn already said, he and others had originally set out to make a PG-13 movie, and the studio turned it into a PG film. Whether it was marketed to teens or not, Gunn thinks that the family-friendly additions (and cuts) hurt the second film’s success and stopped a third from ever happening.

“I felt like a lot of teens came out for the first film Opens a new window and didn’t get what they wanted (and didn’t come back for the sequel),” he wrote, saying it was a mistake. “But today I don’t know.”

James Gunn also revealed that he wrote Velma as gay, something she’s been all along

And, as news came out recently, Gunn had initially written Velma as a blatantly lesbian character. Again, it’s not inappropriate by today’s standards, but having a lesbian character in 2002 wasn’t really a common aspect in kids’ movies.

“In 2001 Velma was explicitly gay in my initial script,” Gunn shared on Twitter on July 12. “But the studio just kept watering it down & watering it down, becoming ambiguous (the version shot), then nothing (the released version) & finally having a boyfriend (the sequel).”

     type="adsense"
     data-ad-client="ca-pub-2656328684472327"
     data-ad-slot="7259572561"
     data-auto-format="mcrspv"
     data-full-width="">

The “Velma is gay” narrative is something many fans had picked up on in other iterations of the character, most recently in the 2010 series Scooby-Doo Mystery Incorporated . And that was, of course, on purpose because Velma was always gay, according to writer and director Tony Cervone wrote recently.

“Marcie and Velma – Mystery Incorporated,” he wrote in a Pride Month post on June 28, along with a picture of Velma and Marcie from his series. He’s worked on several Scooby-Doo projects over the last decade. “I obviously don’t represent every version of Velma Dinkley, but I am one of the key people that represents this one. We made our intentions as clear as we could ten years ago. Most of our fans got it. To those that didn’t, I suggest you look closer. There’s no new news here.”

He later wrote in a comment that the breadcrumbs had always been there. Just because the series never explicitly used the term “gay” or “lesbian,” Velma was very much a part of the LGBTQ community.

Overshadowed Timeless Dizi Channel Expands Its Reach To More African Households On StarTimes

Timeless Dizi Channel is a a general entertainment channel from SPI International which serves to be one of the sought after channels in their portfolio for its variety of Turkish dramas mainly Black Money Love, Karadayi and The Red Scarf.

It's been available in the African market for 2 years and due to the successes of eExtra's Kuiertyd block it got MultiChoice to ramp their offering on kykNET & Kie but as for Timeless Dizi Channel things have rather progressed slowly.

     type="adsense"
     data-ad-client="ca-pub-2656328684472327"
     data-ad-slot="7259572561"

     data-full-width="">

     type="adsense"

     data-ad-slot="7259572561"
     data-auto-format="mcrspv"
     data-full-width="">

After the pop-up version's termination on the DStv platform, there isn't much hype from the channel or the media in regard to what's on or potential new shows from the channel.

The closest anyone has ever gotten to know about upcoming shows is through the main page which can be of no use from time as some new may have already been seen on the channel or in South Africa through eExtra.

The current partnership they have with StarTimes seems somewhat complicated. In August 2020, just a few months after its launch it was announced by the pay-tv platform will stop airing the channel and from what is already seen by viewers that's not the case.

     type="adsense"
     data-ad-client="ca-pub-2656328684472327"
     data-ad-slot="7259572561"

     data-ad-slot="7259572561"
     data-auto-format="mcrspv"
     data-full-width="">

Even more strange is how there's still more regions across Africa through StarTimes that still don't have Timeless Dizi Channel as markets like Kenya and Malawi welcome it as a "new channel" despite its availability elsewhere for the past 2 years.

At this point, you're better off downloading the mobile app to view these programs if there's gonna be so many inconsistencies.

The Adventures Of Johnny Quasar: The Lost Jimmy Neutron Pilot

The Adventures of Johnny Quasar refers to two separate shorts. It is the prototypical version of what would eventually become Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius.

The concept for Johnny Quasar dates back to the 1980s. In 1995, it was finally put into animation with a short demo animation. In the short 46 second animation, Johnny Quasar is riding in space with his robot dog. He notices an upcoming asteroid and rides off. The short was only shown off at a convention named Siggraph '95.

In 1997, the short received a sequel of sorts. In it, Johnny deals with aliens trying to attack his spaceship. Johnny's hair is slightly different in this incarnation and is more similar to Jimmy's iconic "swirl". Early concept art for characters that would appear in Jimmy Neutron exist, however none are present in the short itself.

     data-ad-client="ca-pub-2656328684472327"
     data-ad-slot="7259572561"
     data-auto-format="mcrspv"
     data-full-width="">

Johnny Quasar would later be revived for a 1998 short called Runaway Rocketboy. In that short, Johnny Quasar has already turned into Jimmy Neutron and the characters are near-finalized.

Both shorts were only known by word-of-mouth, screencaps, and short clips until they were uploaded to YouTube by Johnny's voice actor in 2017.

The Adventures of Johnny Quasar contain examples of:

Art Evolution: Due to being 3 years apart, the '97 short has slightly better animation.

Catchphrase: "Gotta blast!" for Johnny.

Characterization Marches On: Johnny is more kiddy and less serious than Jimmy.

Child Prodigy: Johnny is a super-smart boy and has his own secret lab.

Early Installment Character-Design Difference:

Johnny's design is completely different from Jimmy's. He has short hair, a huge forehead, darker skin, and a different shaped head.

Johnny's hair changed between the original short and the 1997 version.

In Medias Res: The 1998 short gives no reason for why Johnny is being attacked by aliens. It was designed to be attention-grabbing so that the short would be made into a full series.

     data-full-width="">

My Brain Is Big: Due to being a genius with a large brain, Johnny has a huge head.

No Fourth Wall: Johnny directly addresses the audience.

Parental Obliviousness: The 1998 short begins with Johnny's father telling his wife that Johnny will be home soon and that he can't be that far from home. As this occurs, Johnny is heading into space on his homemade spacecraft.

Robot Dog: Goddard is Johnny's robotic dog that he built.

Disturbing Facts About Controversial News Station Afro Worldview (Formerly ANN7)

8 years ago, MultiChoice operated Afro Worldview (known as ANN7 at the time) which was a Gupta owned news station which gained attention mainly for its technical setbacks, untrained staff and behind the scenes antics.

Today, we explore some various aspects of the former DStv channel some much worse than others but after reviewing this you'd understand why MultiChoice opted to cut ties and source Newsroom Afrika as an alternative to Afro Worldview.

Here are the disturbing facts about Afro Worldview part of which were highlighted in the book Indentured - Behind The Scenes At Gupta TV

     type="adsense"
     data-ad-client="ca-pub-2656328684472327"
     data-ad-slot="7259572561"
     data-auto-format="mcrspv"
     data-full-width="">

"Rajesh, I want you to prepare for our first meeting with DStv, our enemies at MultiChoice. Arun and you will go to the meeting tomorrow and I want you to give them a copy of the EPG and make sure that channel 404 on DStv is allocated to us. But I want to warn you, they are our enemies. They will try everything to see us fail," writes Rajesh Sundaram. Mentioned on page 62 of Indentured.

1. Afro Worldview wanted to be on channel 404 currently occupied by SABC News and went as far as getting Jacob Zuma involved.

2. MultiChoice was a big enemy of Gupta owned channel.

"It was clear that the team from MultiChoice did not believe we were technically or editorially prepared to launch a news channel by the end of July. The tension in the room was palpable. They were visibly upset with the political pressure that was being brought to bear on them to launch the channel quickly and on the terms directed by the Guptas." Mentioned on page 63 on Indentured.

     type="adsense"
     data-ad-client="ca-pub-2656328684472327"
     data-ad-slot="7259572561"
     data-auto-format="mcrspv"
     data-full-width="">

"We did not have the people, the studio was not complete, and much of the broadcasting equipment had not even been ordered at this time. The team did not even have newsgathering and studio cameras." Mentioned on page 63 on Indentured.

3. MultiChoice was seemingly aware that the channel was not ready to launch at the time.

"DStv suddenly gave in. Even as ANN7 was offering three bulletins a day produced on primitive systems and equipment nowhere near the quality standards prescribed by DStv, it was announced internally that DStv had been 'pressured' through president Jacob Zuma 's office to oust Russia Today from the 405 slot and give it to us." Mentioned on page 126 on Indentured.

4. Russia Today moved from channel 405 to 408 due to pressure from Jacob Zuma to occupy ANN7 on a higher channel number but MultiChoice has denied it and claimed the change was a way of getting local channels closer.

"His plan saved the company thousands of rands, but it cost the company millions in lost reputation, as we found out post-launch."

"Atul wanted Gerry Rantseli-Elsdon to train the models. Gerry was hired to present the breakfast show, which had been branded Vuka Africa."

"Gerry was given a table and chair, a white board and a training room. Some days she had a camera at her disposal. She had no teleprompter, professional monitors or audio equipment in the initial weeks." Mentioned on page 107 on Indentured.

     type="adsense"
     data-ad-client="ca-pub-2656328684472327"
     data-ad-slot="7259572561"
     data-auto-format="mcrspv"
     data-full-width="">

5. Afro Worldview used models as news anchors.

"The bulletins we had produced at that time were, unsurprisingly, fullof technical glitches and were anchored by a group of models hired by Atul and trained by Gerry Rantseli-Elsdon . The young women were very raw, clueless about the news they were reading and very unfamiliar with a studio setting." Mentioned on page 130 on Indentured.

6. Afro Worldview always had glitches with their bulletins even before launch.

"We are nowhere near the quality of CNN International or BBC. He had very little understanding of television or the primitive conditions under which the bulletins were being produced." Mentioned on page 114 on Indentured.

7. Channel boss had little experience with television.

"The archival footage at the SABC was indeed of a very high quality and in my view worth millions of rands," writes Rajesh Sundaram. "Nazeem, Laxmi and Atul repeatedly told me that the contract with the SABC for this sale favoured ANN7, was drafted by Gupta lawyers and that the price of the footage was 'peanuts' compared to its real value."

     type="adsense"
     data-ad-client="ca-pub-2656328684472327"
     data-ad-slot="7259572561"
     data-auto-format="mcrspv"
     data-full-width="">

8. "Stupid SABC" - Before MultiChoice, SABC sold their archives to Afro Worldview.

He told Biznews that Indian staffers, brought to South Africa on tourist visas and who worked in the country illegally, had to live on the ANN7 Midrand construction site "in sub-human conditions".

"There were staff that Atul Gupta would slap; and physically abuse us; scream verbal abuse at people. For instance say the playout system crashes, Atul Gupta would come into the production control room and start beating up the audio console person".

9. Channel boss was abusive to staff by slapping and calling them names.

"My relationship with ANN7 started when I was approached to produce a show for the station. It was supposed to start on Sunday but there were issues I wasn't happy with since I discovered its history with the Guptas."

10. Controversial pastor Paseka "Mboro" Motsoeneng pulled his gospel show due to ties with Guptas.

The Cancelled Jimmy Neutron Movie Sequel & Series Revival

For the longest time, I believed that The Adventures Of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius was one of the best CGI animation to come out then Sonic Boom, Penguins Of Madagascar and Kung Fu Panda were introduced. Other exceptions included Miraculous: Tales Of Ladybug and Cat Noir and Barnyard.

Jimmy Neutron was one of the only CGI cartoons to have actual humour it made me laugh with its real characters and situations and it got me hooked when they go on some epic intense adventure and yes even when Carl got pregnant with an alien.

Then Cyma former president of Nickelodeon decided to step in and say no this is an action show and it's gonna turn our kids into terrorists. We got to put memes and fill our shows with feet and grossed out humour to fulfil my fetishes that's why Fanboy And Chum Chum was picked up and Adventure Time rejected.

     type="adsense"
     data-ad-client="ca-pub-2656328684472327"
     data-ad-slot="7259572561"
     data-auto-format="mcrspv"
     data-full-width="">

(That's not what happened but would anyone be surprised?)

The show was cancelled when it started getting interesting. We had 3 TV movies, the characters were going into space and Jimmy and Cindy were finally going to get together and this happened:

Jimmy - what are we going to do?

Carl - hangout with your mom

The creators considered the third season as intense and adventurous. According to sources, the Jimmy Neutron was set to have sequel revolved on Carl titled Jimmy Neutron And The Search For Carl. Most details could be found on Jimmy Neutron's Wiki and a video titled 107 facts you didn't know about Hey Arnold..

This was rumoured to be fanfiction but a while back there was rumours of an Angry Beavers pilot from same site which everyone thought was fake. On one of the Splat's trivia broadcast, it brought up that rumoured pilot.

But that's not the only thing that was revealed apparently Jimmy Neutron was going to have another season or spinoff series (Not Planet Sheen) possibly titled The New Adventures Of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius as a continuous to the main series.

According to an interview in the Beanhole, there was a fanfiction Jimmy Neutron that was well received that the creators was interested in doing a revival but due to DNA productions the brand in charge of the show shutting down and Nickelodeon having no interest in bringing back The Boy Genius the protect never got made.

     type="adsense"
     data-ad-client="ca-pub-2656328684472327"
     data-ad-slot="7259572561"
     data-auto-format="mcrspv"
     data-full-width="">

But here's what was said in the interview:

- 13 episodes were made as part of a seasonal arc

- The scripts were sent to Nickelodeon and rejected for a revival of The Fairly OddParents and new series Planet Sheen.

Which seems odd if they were going to revive The Fairly OddParents why not add Jimmy Neutron into the mix especially when they were onboard with a revival. Which proves that management at the time didn't care about how iconic the brand was.

Before the current logo of Nickelodeon entered into account. The previous one was scrapped as it didn't look good on a business card.

Jimmy Neutron revival project was discussed later in 2012 and sent to Nickelodeon a year later which was around the same period Planet Sheen was cancelled.

Another aspect that was also covered in the interview was that although the revival failed to be greenlit Nickelodeon liked the fanfiction that they asked the writer to make something original.

So they sent a script which told the story about a 15 year old girl in the year 2040 with her parents travelling her in our timeline. When she realises why her parents sent her back she tries to build a time machine to go back and during that time she makes friends and meets a sinister crew intent on stealing her technology.

It was also stated that this series would be more action heavy than Jimmy Neutron but similar to Avatar and Legend Of Korra. Nickelodeon never picked it up.

Other details stated about the Jimmy Neutron was:

- It would have been more darker and heavy compared to the other seasons.

- The arc would have focused on The League Of Villains returning to destroy Jimmy Neutron.

- There would be a huge finale where all the characters from previous seasons team up with Jimmy to take on The League Of Villains.

- There was also discussion of bringing back the alien love interest to April from season 3. However the creators were mixed about the idea with the budget they needed to bring another actor and adding more characters.

- Jimmy and Cindy would have been actual friends which would later on progress to them possibly being love interests to one another.

- There would been an episode which would look into Cindy and Betty's relationship.

- The character Nick would appear in the show more frequently.

- There were rumours of it getting picked up by Netflix which is likely dead at this point.

McDonald: The Mystery Of Their Theme Song I'm Lovin' It

Also try:

- McDonald's Treasure Land Adventure

It's been playing on countless McDonald commercials around the world. But who wrote this jingle that has proven to be hard to answer as many thought it was Pharrell Williams and Justin Timberlake since the slogan was based on one of their songs titled "I'm Lovin It".

In 2016, Pusha T said in an interview that he was the one wrote for the jingle. Then the German agency responsible for the campaign refuted his claim.

Let's take it back to the beginning

In 2003, for the first time in 37 years McDonald's stock was falling so they needed an ad campaign to boost stock.

After holding a campaign with 14 different agencies the German won the bid with the campaign "Ich Liebe Es" (also known as I'm Lovin' It") and were also the ones that crafted the five syllables ba-da-ba-ba-ba but then McDonald realised there was a huge issue.

Music was suppose to be part of their campaign and they had find a way to turn those syllables into music. They got Butch Stewart who made multiple McDonald jingles in the past and over.

     data-full-width="">

Butch collaborates with his son on the jingle for McDonald together they start writing and if the McDonald executives could see the musical approach going then the campaign would get the greenlight and if not the campaign would be scrapped.

After weeks of writing the catchy jingle Butch presented the concept to McDonald of which they approved that it was used for their global campaign.

They wanted to bring their slogan into culture so they hired a filmmaker producer who could write a song around the words "I'm Lovin' It", entered Pharrell Williams.

The plan was to disguise the slogan into a catchy pop song and not to reveal the McDonald connection until much later when the song has been released to radio.

In order to make I'm Lovin It a massive success they needed a massive star to sing the manufactured hit enters Justin Timberlake.

They offered him $6 million dollars to record the track and he even used it as a setlist to one of his concerts for Justified and goes on radio as if it was an official single for the pop star.

For a song about hamburgers, it managed to top the 100 in the United States and hit #1 in Belgium. A month later, McDonald announced they'll use the song for the ad campaign. They take the hook and mix it with a rap song from Pusha T.

Who managed what?

1. Slogan and Signature Sound was handley by a German Ad Agency

2. Ad campaign was brought to life by Butch Stewart

3. Pharrell Williams wrote Justin Timberlake's single that went to radio.

4. The first global ad campaign was Pharrell Williams, Justin Timberlake and Pusha T.

How do they crew feel about it?

Justin has expressed regret for the deal while Pusha has no problems with the deal. McDonald's stock price was valued at $12 before 2003 and now it's over $150 and the slogan has become the longest campaign ever used by them.

New Series Alert: Who Is Who As TLNovelas Africa Welcomes Another Adaptation To The Chilean Classic Amores De Mercado Titled No One Like You

Amores De Mercado (Market Lovers) follows the life of identical twins Pedro Solís García and Rodolfo Ruttenmeyer Echeverria both portrayed by Álvaro Rudolphy where an encounter leads them to trade places and assume each other's identity and lifestyle.

The Chilean drama made its debut in August 2001 starring Álvaro Rudolphy, Ángela Contreras, Luciano Cruz-Coke, and Alejandra Fosalba. Since its debut, managed to gain so much popularity that 6 adaptations had been produced so far.

Out of all those adaptations 2 were manufactured by Telemundo, Amor Descarado (Barefaced Love, 2004) and Quién Es Quién (Who Is Who, 2015) which managed to air in Africa under the name If Only I Were You.

After 7 years (5 in Mexico), Amores De Mercado makes a comeback in Africa through the Mexican brand TelevisaUnivision's TLNovelas with the series Como Tú No Hay 2 (No One Like You) starring Adrián Uribe as the lead with Claudia Martin and Azela Robinson.

Remakes can be annoying and feel a bit repetitive at times and the handful that would probably watch No One Like You have a high tolerance level for such content or haven't viewed the version on Telemundo.

Despite my opinion on the show I'd say watch it don't rely on what other people's preferences who knows probably TLNovelas version is far superior to Telemundo's version and although being remake it's not like they'll do word for word.

Killer Clown: The Story Of John Wayne Gacy

Who Was John Wayne Gacy?

John Wayne Gacy was an American serial killer and rapist who took the lives of at least 33 young males in Cook County, Illinois, burying most under his house. Other bodies were recovered from the nearby Des Plaines River.

Sometimes known as the “Killer Clown" for his habit of dressing in a clown costume and makeup, Gacy had an abusive childhood and struggled with his homosexuality. After being convicted of sexual assault in 1968, Gacy's murders were discovered.

Early Life

Gacy was born on March 17, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois. The son of Danish and Polish parents, Gacy and his siblings grew up with an alcoholic father who would beat the children with a razor strap if they were perceived to have misbehaved. His father physically assaulted Gacy's mother as well.

Gacy's sister Karen would later say that the siblings learned to toughen up against the beatings, and that Gacy would not cry.

Gacy suffered further alienation at school, unable to play with other children due to a congenital heart condition that was looked upon by his father as another failing. He later realized he was attracted to men, and experienced great turmoil over his sexuality.

Career, Wife & Kids

Gacy worked as a fast-food chain manager during the 1960s and became a self-made building contractor and Democratic precinct captain in the Chicago suburbs in the 1970s.

Well-liked in his community, Gacy organized cultural gatherings and was active in political organizations and the Jaycees civic group. He was married and divorced twice and had two biological children (in addition to two stepdaughters).

Clown

Gacy was a member of a Chicago-area "Jolly Joker" clown club and frequently performed in clown attire and makeup at children's parties, charity fundraisers and other events as his alter egos "Pogo the Clown" or "Patches the Clown."

The “Killer Clown" sometimes lured his victims with the promise of construction work or some other ruse, and then captured, sexually assaulted, tortured and eventually strangled most of them with his hands or with rope.

Years later, during a conversation with detectives while he was under surveillance, Gacy discussed his work as a clown, remarking, “Clowns can get away with murder.”

Sexual Assaults and Murders

In 1968, Gacy was convicted of sexually assaulting two teen boys and given a 10-year prison sentence. He was released on parole in the summer of 1970, but was arrested again the following year after another teen accused Gacy of sexual assault. The charges were dropped when the boy didn't appear during the trial.

By the middle of the 1970s, two more young males accused Gacy of rape, and he would be questioned by police about the disappearances of others. Gacy referred to this period of his life as his “cruising years,” when he committed most of his murders.

On December 11, 1978, 15-year-old Robert Piest went missing. It was reported to police that the boy was last seen by his mother at a drugstore where he worked before he headed out to meet Gacy to discuss a potential construction job.

Ten days later, a police search of Gacy's house in Norwood Park, Illinois, uncovered evidence of his involvement in numerous crimes, including murder. It was later discovered that Gacy had committed his first known killing in 1972, taking the life of 16-year-old Timothy McCoy after luring the youth to his home.

After a lengthy period of police surveillance and investigation — and the discovery of several trenches filled with human remains in the crawl space beneath his house — Gacy eventually confessed to killing about 30 people.

Victim No. 24

Over the years, there have been lingering concerns that Gacy may have been responsible for the deaths of other people whose bodies have yet to be found. And when police uncovered human remains in Gacy’s house in 1978, eight bodies could not be identified.

More recently, Cook County authorities used DNA evidence to identify Gacy’s unidentified victims. In 2017, one of those men, “Victim No. 24,” was identified as 16-year-old James "Jimmie" Byron Haakenson.

In 1976, Haakenson left his home in St. Paul, Minnesota, and traveled to Chicago to begin life in the city. On August 5, he called his mother to let her know he had arrived; however police believe Gacy killed him shortly thereafter.

In 1979, Haakenson’s mother had contacted authorities to find out if her son was one of Gacy’s victims, but she didn’t have dental records and the department lacked sufficient resources to identify him as a victim.

Haakenson’s mother died in the early 2000s, but other family members provided DNA samples in 2017, and authorities made an immediate match to “Victim No. 24.”

Trial & Insanity Plea

Gacy's trial began on February 6, 1980. With Gacy having confessed to the crimes, the arguments were focused on whether he could be declared insane and thus remitted to a state mental facility.

Gacy had told police that the murders had been committed by an alternate personality, while mental health professionals testified for both sides about Gacy's mental state.

After a short jury deliberation, Gacy was ultimately found guilty of committing 33 murders, and he became known as one of the most ruthless serial killers in U.S. history. He was sentenced to serve 12 death sentences and 21 natural life sentences.

Execution

Gacy was imprisoned at the Menard Correctional Center in Illinois for almost a decade and a half, appealing the sentence and offering contradictory statements on the murders in interviews.

Though he had confessed, Gacy later denied being guilty of the charges and had a 900 telephone number set up with a 12-minute recorded statement declaring his innocence.

As both anti-death penalty forces and those in favor of the execution made their opinions known, Gacy died by lethal injection on May 10, 1994, at the Stateville Correctional Center in Crest Hill, Illinois.

John Wayne Gacy's Art

While imprisoned at the Menard Correctional Center, Gacy took up studying the visual arts, especially painting. His paintings were shown to the public via an exhibition at a Chicago gallery. Many of his paintings depict Gacy as “Pogo the Clown.”

In 2017, Mullock’s Auctions in Shropshire, U.K., auctioned off a number of Gacy’s artwork as well as crime scene pictures from Gacy’s trial. Three of Gacy’s paintings, including two originals of “I’m Pogo the Clown” and “They Call Him Mr. Gacy,” sold for £4,000 and £325, respectively. Eight other works went unsold.

Movie

A 1992 television movie titled To Catch a Killer explored the efforts to find out what happened to the missing teenage boys who were later discovered to be among Gacy’s victims.

The movie, starring Brian Dennehy, Michael Riley and Margot Kidder, was nominated for an Emmy award for Dennehy’s performance. According to Dennehy, Gacy wrote a letter to him from prison, protesting his portrayal in the film and proclaiming his innocence.

John Wayne Gacy’s House

Gacy's house was located at 8213 W. Summerdale Ave. in Norwood Park, just east of Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport. On several occasions, visitors and family members reported that the house had an unusual stench, which Gacy attributed to mold or rodents.

A simple, one-story ranch house in a middle-class neighborhood, Gacy had outfitted his home with a trap door leading to a crawl space beneath the house, where he would dispose of many of his victim’s bodies. Others were buried in the backyard or dumped in the nearby Des Plaines River.

In 1978, with Gacy under arrest, the house was dismantled in an effort to find more evidence. The following year, the house and all structures on the property were demolished, and a new house was eventually built on the property.

According to one worker involved in the demolition of Gacy’s house, “If the devil's alive, he lived here.”
